MPE philosophy
At MPE we are passionate about the role of physiotherapy within musculoskeletal medicine. Our educators have extensive experience in the differential diagnosis and management of musculoskeletal disorders. We believe that manual assessment and manual therapy are critically important components of a physiotherapist's skill-set. This is despite support for a largely 'hands-off' approach by large sections of the physiotherapy community. MPE recognises the need for a clinician to develop prowess in clinical reasoning, manual examination, diagnosis and treatment. MPE aims to provide clinicians with high-quality manual skills, enabling them to examine and treat with confidence. As an ever-increasing body of evidence questions the role of imaging and surgery in many acute and chronic musculoskeletal pain states, our wish is that the musculoskeletal physiotherapy profession develops into a recognised leader in the assessment, treatment and management of musculoskeletal pain. Our courses are designed to foster such.
High quality musculoskeletal physiotherapy must include thorough, highly-skilled manual examination, coupled with sound clinical reasoning and an evidence-based treatment/management approach.
We invite you to journey with us to expand your musculoskeletal knowledge and optimise your skill and confidence as a clinician in the management of both simple and complex patient types
